    It’s simple. Solar lighting comes with an external or internal solar panel with a photovoltaic cell inside. This cell converts the energy from sunlight into an electrical current that is stored in a rechargeable battery to power the light.

    The battery is charged during the day when the solar panel soaks up all that lovely sunshine. The panel comes with a fitted light sensor that automatically turns the light on when the sun starts to go down and turns off at sunrise.

  • Q:How long does it take for solar lights to start working?

    A:

    Solar lights work best when well-charged. This requires anywhere between four and 10 hours of sunlight.
