FestoonPro® System Overview
Flexible, professional festoon lighting
Who's it for?
FestoonPro® is a premium festoon lighting system. Offering both incredible durability and flexibility, it is ideal for commercial lighting displays. Available in E27 or B22 varieties, it allows you to select and purchase your own bulbs which can be swapped in and out of the belts at your leisure. None of our other festoon lights feature replaceable bulbs.
The system makes use of the full 240V from the socket and, accordingly, features a thick rubber cable and fully waterproof connections.
Why is FestoonPro® so good?
Our FestoonPro® range gives you the ultimate bespoke weatherproof lighting system. Connect up to 1,500m of quality rubber cable belts, in either black or white, choose and replace bulbs individually from our huge range of festoon bulbs, and create show-stopping displays for any commercial event.
Connect up to 1,500m!
The FestoonPro® system is designed for commercial use and, as such, can be extended to a full 1,000m, powered by a single plug, depending on your choice of belts and bulbs.
The starter cable has a maximum capacity of 1,500W and each bulb socket on the belt has a maximum capacity of 15W. It is therefore important to select your belt and bulbs carefully, to ensure that the maximum wattage is not exceeded, if you're creating a very large commercial or domestic display. The following table provides some examples:
Bulb Wattage | Max. No. 10m Belts | Max. Distance | Max. No. Bulbs | Total Wattage |
---|---|---|---|---|
0.5W | 150 | 1,500m | 3,000 | 1,500W |
1.2W | 60 | 600m | 1,200 | 1,440W |
15W | 5 | 50m | 100 | 1,500W |
Using a dimmer with FestoonPro®
You are able to use a compatible dimmer with the FestoonPro® system and we have two different compatible dimmers. With the FL042 dimmer, there is a single button to control the brightness. Press and hold the button and the brightness will increase, and then begin to decrease until the lights are completely off. Release the button to set your preference.
The newer FL068 dimmer features a remote control, with the brightness increased and decreased using the DIM+ and DIM- buttons, respectively.
Frequently asked questions
Q: Which is better: B22 or E27?
A: One connection type isn't any better than the other. B22 is a bayonet fitting and E27 is a screw fitting, so really it's down to personal preference. Also check the availability of festoon bulbs as some styles may only be available with one fitment.
Q: Are ConnectPro and FestoonPro the same thing?
A: No, they are two separate, independent systems. We do not advise mixing ConnectPro and FestoonPro products and accessories, as the cable they each use is of differing thickness. There may also be some compatibility issues, despite the two systems both running off the full 240V.
Q: Should I use catenary wire to support festoon installations?
A: Yes, we strongly advise that you use catenary wire when installing festoon lights. Please see our guide on how to do that here.
Q: How do I use festoon poles to support my installation?
A: Festoon poles are a great tool for many festoon installations. Please see our guide on how to use them here.
