Professional Grade Versatility
The FestoonPro® system is engineered for longevity and performance, making it the preferred choice for hospitality venues, wedding planners, and homeowners looking for a "fit and forget" outdoor lighting solution. Unlike standard sets, FestoonPro® utilises heavy-duty rubber cabling and IP-rated weatherproof seals, ensuring the lights can withstand the rigours of year-round outdoor exposure in all seasons.
Bespoke Lighting Design
One of the standout features of this collection is the ability to customise your display. The system is built around a "mix and match" philosophy where belts and bulbs are often selected separately:
- Choice of Fittings: Available in both E27 (screw) and B22 (bayonet) socket styles to suit your bulb preference.
- Expandable Lengths: Connect multiple belts from a single power source, reaching distances of up to 1,500 metres depending on the bulb wattage used.
- Aesthetic Options: Choose between classic black or clean white cabling to blend into your architecture or event theme.
Use Cases & Placement
Whether you're framing a commercial shopfront, canopying a large beer garden, or adding a vintage aesthetic to a backyard patio, FestoonPro® provides the structural integrity needed for long spans. For installations over large open areas, we recommend using catenary wire to support the weight of the heavy-duty cable and prevent sagging over time.
How to Choose Your Setup
To build your system, start with a FestoonPro® starter cable. From there, select your belt length and your preferred LED bulbs. If you require ambience control, look for compatible dimmer controllers within the accessories to adjust the brightness levels for different times of the evening.
FestoonPro® Connectable Festoon Lights FAQs
Are ConnectPro® and FestoonPro® the same thing?
No, they are two separate, independent systems. We do not advise mixing ConnectPro® and FestoonPro® products and accessories, as the cable they each use is of differing thickness. There may also be some compatibility issues, despite the two systems both running off the full 240V.
What makes FestoonPro® different?
With FestoonPro®, you purchase the belts and bulbs separately, providing the ultimate flexibility. The system is incredibly durable, fully weatherproof and up to 1500 metres can be connected and powered from a single plug.
Which is better: B22 or E27?
One connection type isn't any better than the other. B22 is a bayonet fitting and E27 is a screw fitting, so the choice simply comes down to personal preference.
What is the maximum length I can connect with FestoonPro®?
You can connect up to 1,500 metres of lights from a single power source, though this depends entirely on the wattage of the bulbs used. Always check the total wattage to ensure it does not exceed the 1,500W limit of the starter cable.
Can I mix FestoonPro® with other connectable systems?
No, FestoonPro® is an independent 240V system. Due to differences in cable thickness and connector types, it is not compatible with other ranges like ConnectPro® or ConnectGo®.
Are the bulbs included with the festoon belts?
Generally, FestoonPro® belts and bulbs are sold separately. This allows you the flexibility to choose your specific bulb shape, colour temperature, and brightness level to create a bespoke look.
Is FestoonPro® suitable for permanent outdoor use?
Yes, the system is designed with high-grade rubber cabling and professional waterproofing, making it ideal for permanent year-round installations in both domestic and commercial environments.
What is the difference between E27 and B22 fittings?
These refer to the bulb base: E27 is a standard Edison screw fit, while B22 is a bayonet "push and twist" fit. Neither is superior in performance. The choice usually depends on your bulb style preference.
Do I need a transformer for these lights?
No, FestoonPro® is a mains-voltage 240V system. It plugs directly into a standard UK socket via a starter cable, which handles the power for the entire connected chain.
Can these lights be dimmed?
Yes, the system is dimmable. To achieve this, you must use dimmable LED bulbs and a compatible FestoonPro® dimmer controller designed specifically for this system.
Should I use a support wire for long spans?
For spans exceeding 5–8 metres, we highly recommend using a catenary (tension) wire. This supports the weight of the heavy-duty rubber cable and protects the internal wiring from stress caused by wind or ice.
