What you’ll need:
- Twine
- White tack
- Battery-powered fairy lights
- Clear Command hooks
- Your chosen photographs
- Small wooden pegs
- Scissors
Step-by-Step:
- Firstly, test out the lights to ensure they’re functioning correctly.
- Using the twine, measure out the desired height and width of your tree and secure it into place with the white tack.
- Once you’re happy with the shape and size of your tree, it’s time to plot your lights. Using the white tack, plan a zig-zag design for your lights, using the twine as guidance as you work from top to bottom.
- Remove the twine and replace the white tack with the small adhesive Command hooks, ensuring that the hook is pointed upwards.
- Starting at the top of your tree, secure the lights to the Command hooks, sliding the wire between the hook and the back. Be sure to pull the lights taut, creating the perfect tree shape.
- Sporadically hang the wooden pegs throughout the lights and attach your photographs.
- Switch on your lights and voila! You’ve got a twinkling alternative Christmas tree!
