Our 2025 Predicted Trends
Hello, you!
Happy New Year (if it’s still socially acceptable to say that half a month in…). Managed to clear the last of the Christmas chocs yet?
Now the tree is down and normality resumes, it’s time to look to the future and start afresh for 2025. We here at Festive HQ have put our heads together and come up with, what we think, will be the hottest trends in home décor this year.
Whether you’re looking to welcome in the year with a splash of colour, showcase your passions, embrace sustainable living, or strip back the luxuries with a digital detox, we’ve got you covered. So, without further ado, let’s dive in!
The Bold and The Beautiful
Say goodbye to subtly, because we’re happy to say that Colour Drenching is expected to stay in 2025! This eye-catching trend really kicked off in 2024 with people surrounding their living spaces in a burst of vibrant colour.
‘De-influencing’ became the big thing over on social media, with the very best of us turning a cold shoulder to the once popular neutral tones and white-wash wall. Instead, the public decided to embrace the bright and the bold; opting for character over mundane, and we’re so excited to see how the trend continues this year.
Rich mahogany, cool denim blue and joyous yellow are expected to burst onto the scene – along with the fantastically festive emerald green and ruby red sticking around after the Christmas period. The added warmth these colours bring to a home creates a layer of richness and cosiness we adored – even throughout the warmer months.

If you’re not particularly partial to the paint brush, why not inject a splash of colour across your décor styling to match the season, keeping on trend whenever the weather –
- Spring – Denim Blue: The perfect balance between a bold statement and neutral styling.
- Summer – True Joy: A bright, bold yellow that will encase your room in dazzling sunlight.
- Autumn – Mahogany: The rich earthy colours of pecan, chestnut and cocoa encapsulates the season perfectly.
- Winter – Emerald Green: Nothing says Christmas like green – opt for dark green velvet decorations for added opulence.

Showcase You
Linking back to the rise of the de-influencer, a big trend we expect to see this year is people being more inclined to flaunt their personality with pride – displaying your loves, passions and preferences for all to see.
The curated lifestyle is going to be big this year, we can feel it. We’re already seeing it in kitchens and pantries across the country, and we’re absolutely loving it. But why stop there? The living room is the heart of the home, and the bedroom is where you can kick back and relax after a long day’s shift – if you can’t surround yourself in what brings you joy here, where can you?

The days of shoving possessions into a cupboard are well behind us, and knikknaks are officially in. From the ordinary to the obscure, whether it be candles, figures, books, or even the everyday essentials, this is the perfect opportunity to celebrate what you love by showcasing your belongings on display.
Simply Sustainable
Let’s be honest, who out of us hasn’t tried to be more environmentally conscious over recent years? Whether it be reusable containers or simply recycling your household rubbish, sustainable living is going to continue to thrive throughout 2025. ‘Slow living’ is all about embracing a more conscious life, being self-sufficient and admiring the beauty of nature within your every day.
As we trudge through the last of the winter months and crawl towards the holy grail (spring/summer), we expect solar lights to be bigger and brighter than ever this year.
This eco-living aesthetic brings along a feast of options for those looking to integrate reusable energy within their homes – and it’ll save you money too. Solar planter lights in particular are expected to be a big success – embracing the convenience of the sun, and marrying eye-catching light with bountiful garden offerings – what’s not to love? Solar water features are a great way to bring your garden and outdoor space to life, releasing the soothing sound of trickling water droplets as you kick back and soak up all that well-deserved sunshine.

Cosy Corners
Speaking of striping back and resorting to a simpler way of living, we’re all for a cosy home aesthetic. The thick woollen blankets. The chunky knits. Reading a book under the mellow glow of flickering candlelight – we’re all for it.
Self-care and bringing the cosy retreat home is going to be on everyone’s cards this year. As much as we love the hustle and bustle of Christmas and venturing out with friends and family, you’ll find a social sanctuary within the comforts of your own home in 2025 with a digital detox corner.
The perfect combination of laid-back styling and cosy, wellness-inspired décor, this trend is a welcome escape from the harsh winter winds as we take our first steps into the New Year. But not to worry, the trend isn’t expected to ease off as we move into the summer months. If anything, this trend reflects the desire for a slower, more mindful living, pairing beautifully with our predicted sustainability rise.
Smoked glass is also expected to be big this year, which will seamlessly slip within the relaxed, warming aesthetic these cosy corners bring to the home. And what’s better, they don’t break the bank! You don’t need a chez lounge or a conveniently placed reading nook to embrace the cosy lifestyle – thick curtains, flickering candles and an airy window can create the very same vibe at a fraction of the cost.

So, what do you think? We reckon we’ve hit the nail on the head. But there’s only one way to find out…we hope you all have a fantastic 2025 and cannot wait to see what the new year brings.
