Product Description

This high quality Solar lamp post Light with PIR Sensor is the latest in solar technology and is a great innovative way to reduce your energy bills whilst continuing to light your garden in the evenings. The solar lamp is ultra bright yet only uses the equivalent of a 20 watt filament bulb and requires no wiring to install. Encased in the lamp head is 29 ultra bright low energy LEDs. The lamp post is made to the highest standards from strong, lightweight aluminium which is powder coated to sustain all weather conditions. The lamp has a 'light sensor' which ensures that the light is on from the moment the sun starts to set until the moment it starts to rise again giving light for those Spring and Summer evenings when sitting out with a nice Chardonnay or BBQ.

FUNCTIONS

An 'ON' function which switches all the 29 LED's on at dusk and turns off again at dawn.

A 'STANDBY' function which switches 2 LEDs on at dusk and the other 27 LEDs on when movement is detected by the built in PIR sensor. This can be seen in the video.

DIMENSIONS

The lamp post is 2.2 metres tall (including lamp head)

The lamp head is 28cm x 28cm.

The lamp post comes supplied with ground bolts as one way of securing the post. Please see the video below for installation guide.

I bought two of these and was very impressed with the service and particularly the "time slot" courier delivery. The quality is good and both lamps are working well and look good. My only criticism is that the fixing instructions could be clearer. If you are fixing to a thick concrete slab I found the supplied bolts were not long enough and had to buy some longer ones.

Delivery was excellent, came within 5 mins of allocated hour slot one working day after ordering. Erected them today and despite being a cloudy day at dusk they both illuminated. First class service and first class product so far.

Post Lights

I have now bought 7 post lights, both Medium and Tall. The service and delivery from Festive Lights has been exemplary. The lights themselves are easy to put together and work very well. In the dark days of winter the two LED's that remain on all night do drain the battery but it is easy to cut the wire to these two so that only the remaining array come on when someone activates the PIR sensor. Altogether an excellent buy!

I own a Holiday Apartment House in the Austrian Mountains. I have been looking for a way to brighten up our House entrance and yet keep the ambience and charm of the neighbourhood. I did not want to run heavy electric cables through the grounds! This Lampost has been the perfect solution. It functions better than I could have hoped for, looks very nice and of course requires no electric. It serves as a beacon to guests driving up to our house and with the pir function then lights up the car park and entrance area - perfect! I had initial concerns that being solar powered the lamp would not work well in snowy, overcast conditions, however throughout all weather conditions so far the lamp has functioned brilliantly. To that I can thoroughly recommend the product and the fabulous customer service provided by Festive Lights.

Installation

Hi Does this light require any electrical back up. I have small lights around my raised flower bed so do have power. Or is it totally independent ? Thanks

How long would you typically expect the light to operate under Winter daylight/sun conditions. Also what is the range of the PIR sensor.

ANSWERS

Hi, The approximate range of the pir sensor is 3-5 metres. The light in standby mode should last most of the night even in patchy weather conditions. Hope this helps
