The "disklok" is even better than the trusty Halfords steering wheel cover I have relied upon for the past 10 years. It feels a bit cumbersome at first but it's actually very easy to use. And it's such a solid bit of kit I cannot imagine even the most stupid of thieves being prepared to try stealing my car. All told, a worthwhile investment - and the cost will be met over a couple of years from the money saved on insurance premiums as a result of reductions because of added Thatcham approved protection.

I am from Montreal, Canada, and I bought this product after someone tried to steal my car. He broke the steering column and i had for over 1,000$ repairs on my car. This product will keep the theft away from my car (i hope!) and will limit the damages (can't turn the steering at all, as the disk is turning around). Thanks!

The Disklok not only works perfectly, it certainly looks the part too, acting - in the first instance - as an excellent visual deterrent. Easy to apply and remove (with a little care taken to avoid other surfaces in the car), we've had no problems at all. Comes supplied with two spare keys, and a contact number direct to the manufacturer in case of any roadside problem. The service from FestiveLights was astounding. Best price on the internet, and delivered at lightning speed - with a free storage cover thrown in too.

Bought for A3 cabriolet. A substantial piece of kit - heavy through necessity and yes, its fairly awkward to put on - the velcro makes it fairly awkward to take off - but might lose its grip a bit when worn in. It also compresses the steering wheel (A3 Sportline) a tad, but this quickly comes out. Again, you have to decide if you are happy with the alternatives.....

If had to choose between the small inconvenience of putting Disklok on and having the car nicked, would choose the inconvenience every time. Lighter crook locks and stop locks are easier to put on without a doubt, but also easy to break. My friend just had a caravan stolen which had a Denver Boot on it so nothing is fool proof for a really determined thief, but Disklok will deter the opportunist / joyrider.

large disklok

hi there is it possible to use the large type disklock on a smaller steering wheel.the reason i ask is that i have a landrover defender which requires the large type.but i have also got a smaller after market steering wheel for above vehicle.and dont really want to purchase two diskloks.many thanks adrian
