These are available in a wide variety and each type gives a completely different look to the room. Indoor lights are used for various occasions and events to give a grand look. This includes the events such as weddings, discos, parties and exhibitions. Three main types of indoor lighting are:Ambient lighting This can also be called base lighting. If you do not want to give a showy or flashy look to the room, opt for ambient lighting. These are the most commonly found indoor lights. You can keep these lights on even if no one is at home to prevent it from looking too dark. This will also help you keep the thieves away. Ambient lighting is often provided by ceiling fixtures. Some common types of ambient lights are: • Recessed lights • Surface mounted fixtures • Fixtures mounted on the ceiling Accent lighting Accent lights are usually combined with ambient lighting to give a unique effect. These are soft lights which not only add a touch of glamour and class, but also light up the necessary spots in the room like staircases and alcoves. You can use these lights at night to avoid complete darkness. Task lighting As the name suggests, task lightings are used for specific tasks like studying. This is the most convenient lighting systems to be used at home as these can be used only when needed.
