It doesn’t matter if you have artificial Christmas trees or a real one, the finished effect when it is covered with Christmas baubles is guaranteed to put even the most curmudgeonly in the mood for some festive fun.While it’s lovely to see Christmas tree decorations covering the branches, one aspect most of us don’t like it actually putting the lights on the tree. This is perhaps why many people now opt for a pre lit Christmas tree as this saves time when putting it up, but if you like to fit your own lights, here are some tips which may save you time, and will stop you becoming frustrated! Although most of us start threading lights at the top of the tree, it’s much easier if you start at the bottom, whether they are artificial Christmas trees or real ones. This allows you to start from the plug socket and wind the lights among the branches, leaving room for the Christmas baubles, and you won’t have too much or too little left over which happens when you begin at the top. When decorating your artificial Christmas trees, always start with the lights, and leave the Christmas baubles till last. And remember, always check that all the bulbs are working before you start work. There’s nothing worse than having to start replacing bulbs when the lights are already on the artificial Christmas tree!
