Squared rope lights - a great way to maximise space17th Jun @ 10:02 LED rope light is one of the most popular forms of commercial and event lighting. That is because it is flexible, affordable and effective. All of the LEDs are protected in a rubbery plastic tube so will not damage those touching it.Rope light is often used to go around the edges of ceilings, where the ceiling meets the wall. This is because it can create an image of extending space above it, by making the roof look higher. For this reason, they are also often placed along the top of picture or dado rails, and sometimes even around the skirting board. Rope light is traditionally made with cylindrical tubes of lights, but there are now squared tubes available. These are still tubular shaped, but instead of a circle, they are square on a cross section. This can prove helpful as they can really fit into corners and against flat surfaces. It means that they will have more grip on the surfaces, so are unlikely to fall off. This means they are safer and more secure, so you can have more confidence when placing them higher up. They are also more suitable for placing in between stairs in dark corridors, as they push right into the corners, and provide flat sides, which will make you less likely to slip on them.
