Mix things up a bit with colour changing strip lights30th Mar @ 12:01 Strip lights have all sorts of uses and applications: they can go inside and outside and work well as border lights, detail lights and decorative lights. They look stunning underneath kitchen units, or along a divider in your room; you could attach them along your dado rail or picture rail for a funky effect in your living room or bedroom. Now strip lighting is even more versatile with new colour changing LEDs. They change softly through purples, pinks and oranges, to reds, yellows, greens and blues, and back to purples and pinks. This can give an amazing atmosphere to any room, particularly when you have guests over, or want some ambient lighting for watching a film or having dinner. If your living room has a high ceiling with a small ridge – like old Georgian or Victorian houses, placing strip lights around the ridge pointing upwards, will make your room look really interesting and funky. The way the lights will reflect on the ceiling can create an effect of endlessness as well as providing some subtle lighting. These strip lights will also look fantastic underneath kitchen units if you’re hosting a cocktail party, as it can make your kitchen look a little like a cocktail bar! Categorised in: Buying Guides |
