We all like a little change every now and then. But we do need to be careful that we don’t get over enthusiastic and forget about fundamental things like safety and common sense.It can be easy to overlook reading the instructions in the excitement of installing your new lights. That is exactly why we are giving you some simple safety rules to adhere to whenever you install any kind of lighting. • Make sure you remove any packaging – be that cardboard, plastic boxes or small plastic packages around bulbs – before plugging in lights. • Double check that everything is intact and as it should be as per the packet. Check the prongs on the plug are straight and that everything that should be in the box is in the box. • When you plug it in, make sure you do not have any paper or card that will be touching any bulbs. • Always unplug before you attach any lights to walls, ceilings or other appliances. These precautions should be taken whether you are installing strip lighting, fairy lights or LED battery lights.
