Most path lights are solar powered. This means that not only will they come on automatically as soon as it gets dark, but they take minimum maintenance and care, and also help the environment. Solar path lights have solar panels on them or around them. These panels take in energy from the sun’s rays during the day and convert it into stored energy in a self-contained battery. This stored energy is then transferred to light as it gets dark. And – because they are LEDs – there is practically no heat emission, meaning over 90% of the energy used is for its intended purpose.
