LED Tea Lights – the safer, reliable alternative

08th Mar @ 12:26 Most houses will have a pack of tea lights somewhere: in the garage, under the sink, in the cupboard by the TV, or in the kitchen. Sometimes people don’t want to use them because they know that they’ll probably end up spilling wax everywhere, or burning themselves as they try to move it. They may be left in the cupboard, only brought out to use in a pumpkin at Halloween.

LED tea lights can be the answer to all of those problems. They will not burn you, as the LEDs let off 90% of their energy as light, whereas flames (and iridescent light bulbs) emit much more heat than they do light. This means that LEDs don’t get hot, even if left on for hours at a time.

Some bulbs can flicker like a flame, and so they can still create the look and effect of a real tea light. In a pumpkin, they will look just the same, but you won’t have to put up with having a scorched pumpkin lid.
LED tea lights use small batteries (included) which usually have a life of about 80 hours. This is over 10 times the normal expectancy of a tea light.
