There can be colour changing reels, as well as reels that can be cut to length, so that you can have a length of rope light that has four different colours.Rope light has plenty of different functions: it can light a pathway; provide some glamorous lighting to a party by being placed around the skirting boards, around doorframes and windows or along the ceiling; it works when placed along the meeting point of stairs on a dim staircase; and as a source of mood lighting. The colours and effects of rope light completely depend on your preferences. There are solid colours, as well as colours that have a chasing or twinkling effect. You can get blue LEDs in blue LED casings but with a few twinkling white LEDs along the length of it. This can create a night sky effect for a room, particularly if it is laid around the picture rail or at the edge of the ceiling. The LEDs are enclosed in a rubber tube or pipe.
