Improve the look of your garden with outdoor lighting29th Mar @ 14:59 Many of us have gardens or yards which don’t look as idyllic as pictures on the TV and in films show us. They have cracks in the paving slabs, rusty bits on the fence or large plain brick walls.These can detract from the rest of the space which can be quite pleasant. There are ways of disguising these though, and it doesn’t have to be remodelling the garden or anything overly expensive. Garden lights can be very effective at directing the eye away from any impurities. An example is fairy lights – if you have an iron gate, which is starting to look a bit rusty and worse for wear, you could wrap some solar fairy lights around the bars, and then you won’t be able to see the rust, because the fairy lights will leave what’s underneath in shadow. Likewise, outdoor net lights can be very effective over a larger expanse of wall or hedge, or even on a tree. Particularly good if you have an unsightly wall from an outhouse or shed, as you can attach it at the top, and let it hang over the side.
