This doesn’t have to be the case at all, as there are types of lighting to suit everyone. Here are some of the options available: • Battery powered fairy lights, which can be hung around a central mirror, picture frame or door frame. • LED trees in smaller sizes, like mini cherry trees in blossom, look lovely in a corner of the room, and will give off a gentle glow. • LED tea lights are a very simple way of adding mood lighting, as they can be placed almost anywhere. They flicker like the real thing, and have a battery life of up to 80 hours. • Rope or strip lights can be great as an understated piece of lighting around or under worktops, floorboards, units or windowsills.
