Conserving our energy means that we are using up less of the planet’s natural resources to power our everyday lives.There are lots of different ways we can save energy, and here are a few to get you started: Lights • Switch off lights when you’re not in the room • Using solar lights in your garden instead of electric lights will use a renewable energy source, and will look just as nice but cause no damage to the environment. Water • Turn the tap off if you aren’t using the water – like when brushing your teeth • Only boil as much water in the kettle as you will use to save electricity and keep your kettle working properly Heat • Turn your thermostat down by a couple of degrees, it makes a big difference and you’ll hardly be able to feel it • Only have radiators on in rooms you’ll be in often, there’s no point heating the conservatory if it won’t be used for 3 months of the year Categorised in: Solar Lights |
