Four easy steps for placing Christmas lights

02nd Sep @ 17:24 Christmas is incomplete without Christmas lights. Lighting equipment adds colour to the festival and makes it a memorable event.

Here are some tips which will come in handy:

1. Location

Identify the location of the electrical outlet nearest the Christmas tree. Calculate the distance between the tree and the outlet. You will have to purchase an extension cord if distance is a problem.

2. Untangle the lights

The next step is to untangle the lights and stretch them out in a straight line. Test the lights once before proceeding. Plug them in and check if they are working.

3. Climb up a ladder

Climb up a ladder and place the tip of the light strand against a branch. Ensure that you secure the light strand properly.

4. Circle the light strand

Circle the light strand around the tree. Tuck the lights between the branches. Wind in a downward spiral position until the lights reach the bottom of the tree. Ensure you do not leave the wire hanging loosely. Plug the lights in and switch on.
