Cheap And Cheerful At Christmas

29th Jun @ 15:46 You don’t need me to remind you that Christmas is an expensive time of year, even before you’ve spent money on presents for friends and family, so looking for ways to cut some of the costs is always helpful. One of the ways you can do this is by choosing the right Christmas baubles and tree. If you choose artificial Christmas trees, you can be sure that you won’t have to spend money on trees for at least the next ten years, so you’re saving cash already!

Another way to cut costs is to look at the huge range of cheap Christmas decorations which are available. The thing to bear in mind here is that cheap does not always mean nasty. Take the saying ‘cheap and cheerful’ and you’ll see what I mean. You can buy attractive Christmas tree decorations from many stores which won’t cost the earth, and by the time you have placed all the
Christmas baubles[ on the tree, nobody will know that they are cheap Christmas decorations.

I’m not sure how much my mum and dad spent on Christmas tree decorations when I was a kid, but I hope it wasn’t a lot. One Christmas morning, me and my brother went downstairs with our new ‘Pop Guns’, which fired corks from the barrel. We spent several minutes shooting and destroying every Christmas bauble on the tree, actions which ensured that - for a while at least - there wasn’t much Christmas spirit in the air when our mum and dad came down later!
