But let’s look at the pros and cons of the two. For example, if you choose a real tree, this means that it will have to be cut down and many claim that this is unhealthy for the environment. Is it really fair to cut down swathes of trees just because we like to decorate our homes once a year with them? On the other hand, others point out that artificial Christmas trees cannot be recycled which means that they are just as detrimental. Having said that, at least with artificial Christmas trees you don’t have to spend time vacuuming the floor around the base as hundreds of pine needles gather on your carpet. One of the main reasons why people choose a real tree is because of the smell. There is nothing more likely to get you into the festive spirit than the smell of natural pine combined with Christmas tree ornaments and toppers. Whichever you go for, you can be sure that once you have placed the Christmas tree decorations and other Christmas baubles, your tree will look fantastic, giving your home the finishing touch for the festive period.
