MODERN OR TRADITIONAL CHRISTMAS LIGHTS?14th Sep @ 20:55 Modern or traditional Christmas lights?Over the last few years Christmas and festive lighting has changed dramatically with many new modern designs now available. Here at Festive Lights we like new bright ideas yet there are many of our customers still prefer traditional styles and colours. One of the main lights we are asked for are large harness or festoon lights for outdoor trees, parties and public houses. Traditional Festoon Lighting Old style festoon lights used 230 volt 25 or even 50 watt filament bulbs, so if each set has up to 50 bulbs it will be using a massive 2500 watts!! This is the reason normal filament bulbs are being phased out and why some of the traditional Christmas lights are resigned to the history books. New LED Festoon and Harness Lighting Good news! We are now stocking low energy festoon lighting with the same traditional qualities but with super low energy led bulbs. They come supplied in 10 metre light lengths with 20 sockets and are connectable upto a huge 200 metres. You can choose from 6 colours, mix and match to suit your display. The harness belts come in both E27 screw fitting and B22 bayonet fitting. The best bit is that each led bulb uses just 1 WATT, which is a spectacular saving meaning you can have your traditional lights whilst saving you money and looking after the planet. We would love to hear whether you are a traditionalist or a trendsetter. Categorised in: Press Releases Tags: new lighting products |
